Description

TENAX 4 is the result of two years of design and testing in collaboration with Alex Ploner and Christian Ciech, pilots of the Italian national team and multiple world champions. The harness is designed to satisfy the most demanding pilots in terms of performance, ideal for competitions.

Its low aerodynamic drag and geometry maximize the possibilities and performance of hang gliding flight.

With the new ergonomic and enlarged dorsal board, a very high level of comfort has been achieved that will be appreciated from the first minutes of flight, but especially during long flights.

Safety:

The correct positioning and easy extraction of the parachute are essential for safety.

The position of the parachute container varies with the size of the harness and is designed to streamline the entire assembly, thus shaping the shoulders, arms, and pockets. Part of the parachute’s bulk is stored inside, above the back, as in the Tenax 3.

All the straps that form the supporting structure of the harness and that wrap around the pilot are interconnected, including the connections of the bridle lines for the emergency parachutes, positioned behind the shoulders, for a more vertical position of the pilot in the event of the parachute opening.

TENAX 4 is available with four possible in-flight incidence change systems:

The base

The base of the harness is made of rigid material in the center and softer material along the sides. The zipper is attached with Velcro and is easily replaceable.

The dorsal table

The new backboard is twice the width of the average, while its length is the standard Woody Valley length. This widened shape was chosen to create a comfortable harness and prevent pressure on the body, even after hours of flying.
The board is made of Kevlar and carbon and, thanks to its distinctive central rib, maintains remarkable resistance to high loads.

The cover

Along with the enlarged back panel, the most important new feature is the external cover: it’s made of lightweight, durable ripstop fabric and is completely removable, making it easy to clean and repair. It will be available as a replacement part in the future.

The bottom of the foot

The new footbed cone is more elongated than the Tenax 3 for better aerodynamics and comes with 5 cm adjustable shims, so as to obtain good length adjustment without having to lengthen the shoulder straps.
